The scorecard

Six things decide whether a stranger stays

Scored 0 to 100 each, then weighted into one number. The weights are fixed and published, so the score is arithmetic you can check rather than an opinion you have to take.

  1. 24%

    Hero section

Whether the first screen says what you do, who it is for, and what to do next.

  2. 24%

    Value proposition

Whether the page explains the benefit in plain language, or just lists features.

  3. 20%

    Call to action

What the page asks for, how obvious the ask is, and how much friction sits in the way.

  4. 14%

    Social proof

Whether anyone other than you vouches for the claims, and whether the proof is specific.

  5. 10%

    Trust and credibility

The signals that tell a stranger this is a real business worth handing money to.

  6. 8%

    Weight and speed impression

How heavy the page is before a visitor sees anything at all.

Questions

Before you paste anything

What is a site roast?

A site roast is a free, blunt critique of a landing page. Rendrio reads the page and scores six areas out of 100: hero section, value proposition, social proof, call to action, trust signals, and page weight. Each problem it finds comes with a specific fix, and the whole report gets a shareable link.

How much does it cost?

The site roast is free. You paste a URL and give an email address to see the fixes. There is no account to create and no card required.

How is the overall score calculated?

Each of the six areas is scored from 0 to 100, then combined using fixed weights: hero 24 percent, value proposition 24 percent, call to action 20 percent, social proof 14 percent, trust 10 percent, and page weight 8 percent. The weights are published on every report, so you can check the arithmetic yourself.

Does it look at how my site is designed?

No. Rendrio reads your page markup rather than a screenshot, so the roast judges wording, structure, and what is present or missing. It will not comment on your colours, spacing, fonts, or imagery, because it cannot see them. That also means it never invents a visual problem to sound thorough.

What does it actually check?

Your headline and subheadline, your button and link copy, your meta and social share tags, whether testimonials or customer logos or numbers appear anywhere, how many fields your forms ask for, how much copy sits on the page, and page weight signals like script count, stylesheet count, image lazy loading, and whether a responsive viewport is declared.

How long does it take?

About a minute. Rendrio fetches the page once and runs a single analysis pass, then the report appears at its own URL.

Can I share the report?

Yes. Every roast gets its own link that you can send to a cofounder, a client, or a designer. Report pages are not indexed by search engines, so sharing the link is a choice rather than a side effect.

What if my site blocks bots?

Some sites sit behind bot protection that refuses automated readers. When that happens the roast will tell you it could not read the page rather than guessing at what is on it.

What does Rendrio do with the fixes?

Where a problem is something a video genuinely solves, such as a hero that does not explain the product or a page that buries its value proposition, the report links to the Rendrio fix. Where a video would not help, for example missing testimonials or a slow page, the report says so and does not pitch you anything.

Most roasts come back with the same verdict: the page does not say what the product does fast enough. A 30 second film in your hero fixes that, and Rendrio builds one from the same URL.
