We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Service includes:

3.1 Personal Data

Personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, and billing information that you voluntarily provide when registering for the Service, making a purchase, or contacting us. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind; however, your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Service.

3.2 Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Service. This data is collected to improve the performance and security of our platform.

3.3 Financial Data

Financial information such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase a subscription or credits. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. All payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. You are encouraged to review Stripe’s privacy policy.

3.4 Data from URLs You Submit

When you submit a URL for video generation, we access publicly available information from that website to analyze its content, extract brand elements, and generate video assets. We do not access password-protected or private content. The submitted URLs and generated analysis data are stored in association with your account for the purpose of delivering and improving the Service.

4. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process your transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices.
  • Generate videos based on the URLs you submit.
  • Send you administrative information, such as updates, security alerts, and support messages.
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and provide customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Service.
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

5.1 By Law or to Protect Rights

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

5.2 Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), data hosting (Supabase, Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), and analytics (PostHog). Analytics data is only collected with your explicit consent and does not include personally identifiable information. These service providers have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

5.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

6. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and local storage to operate the Service. When you first visit, a cookie banner allows you to accept or reject optional cookies. We categorize our cookies as follows:

  • Essential: Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics: Collected via PostHog only if you provide explicit consent. Used to understand usage patterns in aggregate. No personal information is shared with third parties.
  • Preferences: Used to remember your display settings and interface customizations.

Under EU GDPR and US CCPA, optional cookies (analytics and preferences) are only activated after you provide explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or local storage, which will re-display the cookie consent banner.

For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. Generated video assets and associated metadata are retained for the duration of your active account. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days, though it may persist in backups for up to 90 days.

8.1 Content Storage

Preview assets (scripts, screenshots, visuals) and rendered videos (MP4 files, voiceovers) are stored on Cloudflare R2. When you delete a project, paid content enters a 7-day recovery period during which you can restore it. After 7 days, all associated data is permanently removed from our storage infrastructure.

8.2 Shared Resources

Background music files are cached and shared across projects to improve performance and reduce generation costs. These shared resources are not deleted with individual projects as they contain no personally identifiable information.

8.3 Browser Data on Sign-Out

When you sign out of the Service, we automatically clear all locally stored data from your browser, including your authentication session, analytics identity, render progress data, and cookie consent preferences. This ensures that no personal or session-related data persists in your browser after sign-out. Upon your next visit, the cookie consent banner will reappear so you can make a fresh choice regarding optional cookies.

8.4 Immediate Deletion

You may request immediate permanent deletion of all your data by contacting contact@rendrio.io. Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will permanently delete all associated data within 72 hours.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to object to processing of your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@rendrio.io. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at contact@rendrio.io.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including personal data, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. You also have the right to request that we delete any personal information we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. To exercise your California privacy rights, please contact us at contact@rendrio.io. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
